AEGIS TECHNO determines the purposes and essential means of the following processing:
- Account creation, authentication, profile, preferences, subscription, and SaaS billing.
- Contact requests, abuse prevention, cookie choices, external avatar display, and technical logs.
For personal data managed by a bookstore in its catalogue, reservations, public requests, sales records, and exports, the bookstore is the controller. AEGIS TECHNO processes these data through Inventory Book as its processor. No joint controllership has been identified for these processing operations.
Information We Collect
We collect information to enhance your experience and improve our services. This includes:
- Personal Information: Information you provide directly, such as your name and email address.
- Account and Subscription Information: Account identifiers, settings, plan, quota, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, and billing status.
- Bookstore Information: Catalogue, copies, purchase and sale prices, reservations, sales status, and exported stock or sales data.
- Public Request Information: Customer name, email address, requested books, pickup or delivery choice, and delivery address when required.
- Usage Information: Data automatically collected, including your device type, IP address, and interaction with our application.
- Cookies: Small data files stored on your device to remember login details and preferences, such as selected language.
How We Use Information
We use the information collected for purposes such as:
- Providing, maintaining, and improving our services.
- Managing your account and delivering customer support.
- Communicating with you about updates, notifications, and promotional offers.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies are used to enhance your experience by:
- Remembering your login details.
- Storing preferences like language settings.
- Analyzing usage patterns to improve functionality.

Current recipients include the hosting provider, Resend for email, Stripe for SaaS subscriptions, Gravatar for external avatars, and Google Books, Open Library, and Libro.fm for ISBN metadata. Their exact roles depend on the service and their contractual obligations.
Data Retention
- Magic sign-in links: 24 hours. Sessions: 30 days after the last activity.
- Active accounts, profiles, and catalogues: for the contractual relationship. Inactive accounts: up to 3 years after the last activity, then deletion.
- Account recovery copy after closure: 30 days. Limited contractual evidence: 5 years.
- IP address used to prevent registration abuse: 12 months after account creation.
- SaaS accounting documents: 10 years. Other contractual billing evidence: 5 years.
- Deleted catalogue records: 30 days before permanent deletion.
- Reservations and public requests: during processing and, if they do not result in a sale, 1 year after closure. A reservation expires after 1 month by default.
- Sales and stock history: while the bookstore account is active, then deletion within 30 days after the account closes. The bookstore controls any downloaded CSV copy.
- Contact messages: 1 year after the last exchange, unless they become contractual records.
- Standard technical logs: 6 months. Isolated security incident files: 3 years after closure.
- Language cookie: 30 days. Sidebar cookie: 7 days. Cookie choice: 6 months. Theme preference: until local browser storage is cleared.
Data Security
We implement robust measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure. We encourage you to take steps to protect your information.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:
- Accessing and correcting your data.
